Kingdom Hearts III is Square Enix's action RPG for PlayStation 4, released on 29 January 2019. Sora, Donald and Goofy travel through Disney and Pixar worlds to stop the Heartless and the wider threat behind them.
Which worlds are included?
The game visits Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Big Hero 6, Tangled and Frozen worlds, among others. Each world has its own story, party members and combat gimmicks.
How does combat work?
Combat is real-time and built around Keyblade combos, magic, team attacks and attraction-style special moves. The game is single-player and does not require PlayStation Plus.
Do you need to play the earlier games?
Kingdom Hearts III concludes the Xehanort saga, so the story assumes knowledge of the earlier titles. Playing the previous games first is recommended for the narrative.
