Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered is a rebuilt version of the first Asterix & Obelix XXL game. It was released on 22 October 2020 by Microids and developed by OSome Studio.
What is the story?
The Romans have pillaged the village and captured its inhabitants. Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix set out to rescue them, travelling through Normandy, Greece, Helvetia, Egypt and finally Rome.
How does it play?
It is a single-player action-adventure with beat-'em-up combat, platforming and exploration. You fight Romans, pirates and Vikings, and use magic potion to power up.
What is new in the Romastered version?
It adds updated HD visuals, a Retro Mode that switches between the new look and the original style, and four skins for Asterix and Obelix. It is a remaster of the 2003 game, not a new sequel.
