Yakuza: Like a Dragon is Sega's role-playing game in the Yakuza series, released for PlayStation 5 on 2 March 2021. It introduces Ichiban Kasuga as the new protagonist.
What is the story?
Ichiban is a low-ranking yakuza member in Tokyo who takes the fall for a crime and serves 18 years in prison. When he returns, his clan has been destroyed by the man he respected most, and he sets out to uncover the truth.
How does combat work?
Unlike the earlier Yakuza games, combat is turn-based and party-based. You can switch between 19 jobs, recruit up to seven party members and use the battlefield itself as a weapon with bats, bikes and street signs.
What can you do outside the story?
The game is set in Yokohama and includes 50 substories, more than 15 mini-games, an arcade, go-kart racing and a management mode. Online play is optional.
