Wargroove is Chucklefish's turn-based strategy game for Nintendo Switch, supporting up to four players. You pick a Commander from one of four factions and use their unique groove ability to turn battles in your favour.
How does a battle play out?
You choose from 12+ Commanders across the Cherrystone Kingdom, Heavensong Empire, Felheim Legion and Floran Tribes. Each Commander has a different groove, and the campaign follows the story and motivations of each faction.
Is there multiplayer and co-op?
Yes. Wargroove supports local and online multiplayer skirmishes with rule customisation, plus local and online competitive and co-op play. Arcade mode has you fight five opponents in quick succession, and Puzzle mode asks you to win in a single turn.
Can you build your own maps?
The in-game map and campaign editors let you design battlefields and branching story paths, then share them online. A Codex covers the world's history and lore, with strategy tips and rules.
