Transformers Battlegrounds is a tactical action game for Nintendo Switch in which you command Bumblebee, Windblade, Optimus Prime and other Autobots against Megatron's Decepticons. Outright Games published it in October 2020, with Coatsink developing.
How does combat work?
Missions are squad-based tactical battles played across locations from Central City to Cybertron. Each hero has unique attacks and abilities, environments can be used for cover, and charging Energon lets you unleash Ultimate Abilities.
Can you play with a friend on one console?
Yes. The official page lists an Arcade mode for local multiplayer battles with the Decepticons and other modes, alongside the story campaign. Three difficulty modes are available, so younger or newer players can start on an easier setting.
Which characters can you command?
The official roster names Bumblebee, Windblade and Optimus Prime, and the page refers to assembling a squad from more Autobot heroes. Each character brings different attacks and abilities, so the squad you pick changes how a mission plays.
