SaGa Scarlet Grace is Square Enix's free-scenario RPG, released in Japan for Nintendo Switch on 2 August 2018 as SaGa Scarlet Grace: Hiiro no Yabou. This listing is the Japanese import version; the expanded release is known in the West as SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions.
How does the game play?
You choose one of four protagonists: Urpina, Leonard, Taria or Balmaint. Each has a separate story, and the free-scenario system lets you travel the world map and tackle events in different orders. More than 70 characters can join your party.
How do battles work?
Combat is turn-based and built around a timeline that shows the order of actions. You can interrupt or delay enemies by choosing faster or slower skills, and characters learn new techniques through the "glimmer" system when using different weapon types.
Is this the English version?
No. This is the Japanese domestic release, and the store listing does not state supported in-game languages. If you need English text, check the box or ask the store before ordering.
