HORI Battle Pad with Pokemon artwork is a wired controller shaped like the GameCube pad.
Why this shape?
The GameCube layout is still the preferred pad for Super Smash Bros. players: large A button, octagonal stick gates and the C-stick for quick smashes.
How does it connect?
It plugs into a USB port on the dock, so there is no battery and no pairing. That also means it only works while docked or with a USB adapter.
What is missing?
No rumble, motion controls or amiibo reader. It is a straightforward wired fighting pad.
