"inFamous: Second son" is a game developed by the company Sucker Punch which takes place 7 years after last-gen's inFamous games and this time, you play as the new conduit Delsin Rowe whom gains powers by absorbing them from other "bio-terrorists" to battle the DUP leader, Brooke Augustine.

The game tells you about what happened 7 years ago with Cole McGrath (the protagonist of the last two inFamous games) then shows the new main character, Delsin, damaging (or "enhancing" from his point of view) a billboard sign until the sheriff (Delsin's brother, Russel) turns up and catches you running away from him.A truck full of conduits crashes and you end up meeting one of them and absorbing his smoke powers once you grab his arm.

I think the game succeeds in explaining what happens in a really brief way which doesn't bore the player (a small wall of text scrolls down, star wars style) and
honestly doesn't take a long time to read then transitions into a cutscene showcasing the game's gorgeous graphics which exceed any other Playstation 4's release by miles.Tom Baker's voice suits Delsin's personality perfectly which adds into the game's immersion factor even though small glitches and bugs, such as you getting stuck in the middle of a car, could scratch the immersion just abit.
But hey, that's the only bad thing about the game and I can't blame Sucker Punch, glitches happen.

When I first heard that the game utilizes the PS4 touchpad I didn't care because I thought they'd probably use it as a minimap like Assassin's Creed IV or something but no, the use of the gamepad (and the game's controls in general) feel extremely natural and you'd get used to it in about an hour of gameplay, even if you're not a huge fan of action games.

When I finished the campaign in a day(10-12 hours) I thought that was it, but it turns out that I forgot the most important aspect of the game, karma. You can play the game as a good guy or as a total jerk which changes how the story goes and flourishes your paths so that you can play the game more than once and let out your inner angel or demon! (yes, a Eugene reference) Not to mention that post-game there's alot of things to do in the city of Seattle such as fighting off DUPs and spraying the streets with your art!

The variety of the elements you can control are probably what would attract any gamer that never tried inFamous. In this one, you get to control four different powers
which are useful for either travelling around in the city of Seattle or just sweeping DUPs.Whether you like smoke coming out of your fingertips or shooting neon
lasers, you'll find something that's appropiate for your gameplay style.

The dialogue is full of jokes and puns that will make you giggle even if they're completely horrible, e.g. "I bet you con-duit Delsin!" or when Delsin blasts sulphur
bombs out of his hands he says something like "that's what you get for second-hand smoking" they made me chuckle but others might just face-palm themselves and sigh in disgust.

The game is extremely entertaining and easily the best game on the Playstation 4 (let alone exclusive!) both graphics-wise and gameplay-wise and that everyone that has a playstation 4, even if they've never played an inFamous game, should buy it.

I rate this game an 9 out of a 10!
